Item Description
1000-Foot RJ45 Category 5 (CAT5e) Stranded Network Cable, Color: Grey

This is 1000-foot Category 5 standed network cable. Certified for 100Mbps network. UL. CSA. Color: Grey.

Instructions: (1) While terminating Cat. 5 twisted pair cables, be sure the natural twist of each pair is carried through as close as practical to the point of mechanical termination. EIA/TIA 568A requires no more than 0.5 inch (13mm) untwisted for Cat. 5, as it will affect performance at high bit rates. (2) Cabling should be secured and placed in a manner which prevents binding and tight cinching. It should not be subject to excessive bends greater than four times the cable diameter. (3) Cabling should not be subject to pulling tension greater than 25 pounds (110N).

Notes: (1) How to measure the length of a long network cable without a tiled floor? By the weight if you have a scale around! Weigh the entire 1000 foot first (Total Weight). Then weigh the cable as you're dispensing. Here is the formula: length of the dispensed section = Weight of Dispensed Portion x (1000/Total Weight).
